How about a house with a private freshwater beach? Between land and water, on one of the state's most stunning reservoirs and less than two hours from São Paulo, you'll find Altar Prainha—a retreat surrounded by nature, where time slows down and the essentials take center stage. With glass walls that integrate the interior with the exterior, the house offers complete immersion in the landscape. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the queen-size pillowtop bed ensures comfort worthy of any five-star hotel. The difference is that, here, the main attraction is the invitation to enjoy time in front of the fireplace or gazing at the stars reflected in the water. At Altar Prainha, you have a private backyard on the edge of the reservoir, with views of the river and mountains. Outside, a Noori barbecue grill with wheels, a tent, lounge chairs, and a fire pit complete the setting, allowing you to experience the best that a freshwater beach has to offer. Inside, the experience is equally special: a projector and JBL speakers guarantee exclusive and immersive movie sessions. Here, we disconnect you from your routine so that, surrounded by nature, you can reconnect with what—and who—really matters. Check-in time is from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. After this time, a late check-in fee of R$150.00 applies, and we do not accept guests after 10:00 PM. We offer pay-per-use activities, subject to availability and consultation with our partners, such as massages, wakeboarding, and boat or speedboat tours. The house accommodates up to three people, and this unit welcomes pets of all sizes. We ask that the space be kept tidy and that dishes be washed; if the house is left very dirty and/or with unwashed dishes, an additional cleaning fee of R$200.00 will be charged. We keep some cleaning products available for use during your stay. Because we are in a rural area, delivery is not possible. However, we provide some basic items for your convenience: brewed coffee, olive oil, granola, various spices, salt, sugar, and infused teas. Guests should bring their own. Rain and mud may be part of the journey—and this is also nature in motion. Part of the journey to the refuge is on a dirt road, so we recommend using a 4x4 vehicle, especially on rainy days, to ensure a smooth journey. Access to the house is via a small boat, which will remain with guests throughout their stay. Our host will be present on the day of arrival to assist with the entire process and ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible. Mother Earth is amazing. For reservations made up to 48 hours in advance and more than 14 days before check-in, a full refund is given. For cancellations made up to 8 days before the check-in date, we refund 50% of the total reservation value. From 7 days before check-in, there is no refund of the reservation value. In any case of refund (partial or full), fees charged by booking platforms or payment methods are non-refundable. If the cancellation is requested by Altar, all amounts paid in advance will be fully refunded to the guest. Rescheduling: Rescheduling requests can be made up to 45 days in advance of the check-in date. For requests made from 15 days before check-in, rescheduling may be accepted exceptionally, limited to one time, and subject to a 30% penalty on the total reservation value.
