Floating Altar #1

Two hours from São Paulo, but a world apart. Altar is a floating home experience based on one principle: using technology to disconnect from your cell phone and commune with yourself, your loved ones, and the nature around you. At the foot of the Mantiqueira River, where design meets nature, our vessel has a solar power system, its own waste treatment system, and is built with reforested wood to reduce its impact on nature. Located in the Joanópolis Reservoir, an enchanting place about two hours from São Paulo, Floating Altar #1 was our first home. A home, but you can call it a boat. After all, this naval project isn't located near or around the dam, but in its center. Floating Altar #1 has everything you need to enjoy this incredible place. A fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare meals overlooking the dam, while the queen-size bed ensures a comfortable night's sleep. At the house, you can also enjoy an exclusive movie session with the Nebula projector while warming up by the fireplace. Our retreat is immersed in nature, a place where time slows down and Mother Earth sets the pace. To ensure your experience is relaxed and safe, we ask that you pay attention to a few points: 1. Check-in is scheduled for 3 PM, with arrivals limited to 8 PM. After this time, a late check-in fee of R$150.00 applies. Please note: we do not accept guests after 10 PM. 2. To avoid overloading the system, the use of appliances such as hair dryers, straighteners, airfryers, or irons is not permitted. Energy here is designed for the essentials—and for the silence that recharges. 3. We ask that you keep the space tidy and wash any dishes you use. If the house is left very dirty and/or with dishes to wash, an additional cleaning fee of R$200.00 will be charged. 4. Rain and mud may be part of the journey—and this, too, is nature in motion. Part of the route is on a dirt road, so we recommend using a 4x4 vehicle, especially on rainy days, to ensure a smooth journey to the refuge. Access to the house is via a small boat, which will remain with the guest during their stay. Our host will be present on the day of arrival to assist throughout the process. Mother Earth is amazing.
