Amidst the sound of birds and the magnitude of the Guartelá Canyon, it's only a matter of time before we want to dive head first into Nature! To give you a taste, here is some information about our ecological trails. Always remember to wear long pants, closed shoes, repellent and sunscreen to enjoy the activities in the reserve in a healthy and safe way... Shall we do it? The walk begins by passing through an orchard behind Restaurante do Bonachão (if you're lucky, you might find some ripe fruit on the tree). We soon enter the forest, where we can watch birds and, if we are lucky, spot some larger wild animals. Little by little, the sound of water appears in the background as we approach the Guartelá Canyon, in the second part of the route, walking through fields and rock formations. Has anyone guessed the reason behind the name Trilha da Galinha Choca? A little more walking on the sandstones and we find the Arroio da Bomba Waterfall, where we can dive and cool off before returning. Here we find: - 1,500 m walk - Waterfall Bath - Forest - View of the Canyon - Wild animals - Rock formations - Difficulty level 2: Moderate
